Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds
Saying that David Goggins had a rough childhood is the understatement of the year. His mother was brave enough to escape an abusive husband and get young David into a more healthy environment. It’s not everyone that has that kind of abuse and grows up to be a fully functioning adult. He did much more than that. He became obsessed with being better and overcoming the biggest challenges that he could find. From ultra-marathons to beating the pull-up word record to complete elite training in the most challenging US military branches, he’s a source of inspiration in everything he does.
He compiles in this book a rollercoaster of a story filled with pain and suffering but building the most impressive mental resilience that I’ve seen. Do yourself a favor and read this book— one of the highlights of my year for sure.
Finally, please follow him on Instagram and listen to his “no bullshit” advice on overcoming adversities.
Where you can find it
I got this book from his website. According to the website:
David Goggins is a retired Navy SEAL and is the only member of the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training (including two Hell Weeks), the U.S. Army Ranger School (where he graduated as Enlisted Honor Man) and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training.
Believe me that this is not at all a self-help book. Is a stop complaining and do something with your life. A punch in the right direction lead by example by an extraordinary person.
