Tools: Calm

With the ever-increasing stress and pressure to deliver, it’s harder to keep ourselves calm and relaxed. Giving our mind a deserved rest once in a while is difficult, but mediation can help provide this well-deserved break. I’ve been doing meditation for years now, and “Calm” has helped me in several ways.

The app

It’s more than an app. It’s a platform that focused on wellbeing. While researching this article, I found that they even provide “Calm For Business,” a way to keep employees fit. I have dozens of features that you can try. Stories, guided meditation, pieces of training, music, and much more. It’s an amazing tool that you should have at your disposal for keeping your mental health in check.

The problem it solves

Mental health is affecting society, and it’s quite a sneaky disease. It’s also a “tabu” in some communities, making it hard to treat because people are “ashamed” to admit that they need help or are sick in the first place. Meditation helps a lot and brings you all kinds of benefits that keep disease at bay.

I like “Calm” because it provides much more than meditation. It provides a suite of tools that you can use throughout the day, not only the 10 minutes you pick to do your meditation.

Why I use it?

I have a full-time job, write for this website and try to learn as most as possible. This puts pressure on my brain that I need to compensate somehow. Meditation has helped me a lot over the years, and the “Daily Calm” narrated by Tamara Levitt provides me the daily routine of meditating. I followed the training courses to learn how to meditate, and all of them are prepared so that you don’t need to commit much time to it.

Mental health is important, so please take care of yourself. If you don’t use “Calm,” use something else, but prevent the burnout that can leave some nasty scars for the rest of your life.

I have 5 invitations for “Calm,” and you can claim yours here. First come, first served, so be fast to collect yours.
