Microsoft OneNote is one of the best note-taking tools available, and this area is where I share what makes it click. Plenty of apps compete for the same job, and I feature several of them elsewhere on the site, but OneNote pulls ahead on a few fronts. The tight integration with the rest of the Microsoft world is the obvious one, yet there is a lot more going on once you look past the basics. Here I post tips and tricks that help you get real mileage out of OneNote, from structuring notebooks so you can actually find things, to small habits that make daily note-taking smoother. Taking notes is easy. Taking good notes that stay useful weeks later is the hard part, and that is what I want to help with.
