Shifts
Microsoft Shifts is one of the hidden gems tucked inside Microsoft 365, and it deserves more attention than it gets. It lets teams organize their time around whatever their real needs are. Picture a support desk that has to stay staffed around the clock, or a development team that always wants at least one person on call. Shifts gives you a clean way to plan, share, and manage that coverage. In this area I show you how to get the most out of Shifts, from setting up schedules and handling swap requests to keeping everyone on the same page inside Microsoft Teams. My goal is to make the tool approachable, especially if you are a manager who has been wrangling rotas in a spreadsheet. I also connect Shifts to the Power Platform, where Power Automate can trigger notifications, sync schedule data with other systems, and cut the manual busywork.
